🌊🎣 Surf & Fishing Report + Red Flag Warning 🚩🌬️

Super high tide swamped the beach this morning 🌊😳 making for some flooded beach access areas and strong water movement. A short period swell from the SE is mixing together to bring surf in the 2-3+ ft range with occasional 3-5+ ft sets rolling through 🏄‍♂️🌊 with a dominant period of 7 seconds.

Winds have been pumping hard and onshore from the SE at 18-23 mph 💨🌴. As of 9:06 AM, winds are blowing strong from the SE (135°) at 20 mph, creating choppy conditions and strong drift/current along the beach.

The massive 2.3’ high tide that hit at 7:49 AM is now racing out toward a -0.7’ low tide at 10:44 PM 🌊⬇️. That heavy morning tide may put a damper on beach access and fishing in certain spots, so plan accordingly and use caution around flooded areas and currents.

Please use extreme caution if entering the water. If you get caught in a rip current, stay calm, don’t panic, and let the current take you out before swimming parallel to shore. Surfers are always nearby and willing to help 🤙🏼

🎣 Fishing could still produce around the jetties and deeper guts with live shrimp, mullet, crab, and heavier setups due to the rougher water and strong sweep. The moving water later today could improve the bite in protected areas.
