Super sloppy, stormy conditions out there today with the beach getting completely swamped from the super high tide and strong onshore winds. Short period swell from the SE is producing surf in the 3-4+ ft range with a dominant period of 7 seconds. Expect messy, choppy surf, heavy drift, strong currents, and poor water conditions overall. ππ¨

Dangerous ocean conditions and strong rip currents are expected today. Please stay out of the water if you are inexperienced. If you get caught in a rip current, stay calm, donβt fight it, and signal for help. Surfers β keep an eye out for others in trouble. Safety first. ππΌ
π¨ Recent winds have been strong and onshore from the SE averaging 18 mph. As of 6:36 AM, winds are very strong from the SSE (147Β°) at 20 mph.
π Tide swing is extreme today with a lower than usual -0.5′ low tide at 12:04 AM surging up to a very high 2.2′ high tide at 9:19 AM, flooding much of the beach and pushing water way up the sand. Expect swamped access points, strong currents near the jetties, and rough shoreline conditions.
π£ Fishing is going to be a challenge today as the jetties and many beach areas will be swamped with rough water and heavy current. If you head out, use extreme caution and be prepared for difficult conditions.
