The Gulf is serving up plenty of energy today with a bumpy, washed-out SSE swell and strong onshore winds. There are waves to be had, but expect challenging conditions and lots of moving water. 🤙🌊

🏄 Surf Report:
• Bumpy, washed-out SSE swell
• Waves running 3–5 ft+ 🌊
• Dominant period: 5.5 @ 8 seconds
• Plenty of size, but the strong wind is adding texture and making conditions messy.
• Best bet is to hunt for protected corners and keep expectations realistic.

💨 Wind Report:
• Recent winds averaging 16 mph from the SSE
• As of 9:36 AM: SSE (156°) at 19 mph
• Strong onshore flow creating choppy conditions and pushing water down the beach. 🌬️🌊

🌊 Tides:
🌙 Low Tide: -0.4 ft at 12:49 AM
🌅 High Tide: 1.5 ft at 9:59 AM

That’s a big tidal push this morning with a lot of water moving through Packery Channel and along the beachfront.

⚠️ Heavy rip currents are expected today.
⚠️ Exercise extreme caution near the jetties and channel.
⚠️ Inexperienced swimmers should stay out of the surf.
⚠️ Never swim alone and keep a close eye on children near the water.

🎣 Fishing Report:
The strong water movement around the tide change should have trout, redfish, and mangrove snapper feeding around the channel and jetty structure. Live shrimp, croaker, finger mullet, and soft plastics should all produce bites. 🐟🎣
