Happy Spring Break and Happy St. Paddy’s Day! ☘️🌊🎣
Small combo swell from the SSE and ESE is producing mostly 0–1+ ft surf, with occasional 1–2 ft sets and a dominant period of 4 seconds.
Recent winds have been strong and onshore from the SSE, averaging around 13 mph. As of 11:36 AM, winds are SSE (151°) at 13 mph, keeping conditions a bit textured.
The tide drained out to a -0.2 ft low at 6:29 AM and is now rising toward a 1.4 ft high at 4:09 PM.
Beautiful day on the island with air around 80° and water 73°. Yellow flags are flying along with blue jellyfish flags, so keep an eye out for small jellies floating around and washing up on the beach.
Fishing report 🎣
Fishing is going off right now off Bob Hall Pier, the Packery jetties, and along the beach. Anglers are catching fish using lures, live bait, and Fishbites. Plenty of action and the fish taco bite is real right now — yum! 🌮🐟
Lots of people traveling to the island for Spring Break, so expect some traffic and give yourself a little extra time getting around.
