🌊🎣 Packery Surf & Fishing Report 🤙
Short period swell from the SE is mixing with short period swell from the N, bringing surf in the 1–2+ ft range with sets pushing 2–3+ ft. Dominant swell is running 5 ft at 145° @ 6s, so there’s a little something to work with if you’re patient. 🏄♂️
Winds have been strong and onshore from the SSE, averaging 18–20 mph, and as of 10:06 AM they’re blowing a solid 20 mph out of 151°. Expect bumpy conditions and some drift out there. 💨
The tide topped out at a 1.9′ high at 4:29 AM and is now dropping toward a 1.1′ low at 11:59 AM. Air temp is 78° and water temp is 75°. 🌡️🌊
🚩 Red flag warning is up for heavy rip currents, so please be careful in the water. If you get caught in one, do not panic. Hold onto your board no matter what, stay calm, and signal for help if needed. The current will usually ease up, and surfers are always willing to help. Safety first, always. 🙏
Fishing could still be worth a look, especially around the jetties, channel, and pier zones, with all this moving water and wind churn. Live shrimp, cut bait, and Fishbites are good options to keep in the lineup. 🎣
