Uncle Greg’s Surf & Fishing Report ๐ค๐๐ฃ
It’s another warm South Texas summer day with knee- to thigh-high SSE wind swell rolling in from 160ยฐ at 3.1 ft @ 5 seconds. Expect fun waves for beginners and longboarders, with a few playful sections if you pick the right sandbar. Conditions are semi-choppy this morning with southerly winds at 10โ15 mph, increasing and shifting SSE to 15โ20 mph this afternoon, so the cleanest surf will be early.
๐ High Tide: 5:49 AM (1.7 ft)
๐ Low Tide: 8:39 PM (-0.6 ft)
๐ก๏ธ Air: 92ยฐF
๐ Water: 85ยฐF
๐ฃ Fishing is looking good today, especially around the Packery Channel jetties, Bob Hall Pier, and nearby guts. Live shrimp, croaker, and soft plastics should all produce. An early morning or evening trip will offer the best conditions before the afternoon wind kicks up.
๐ฉ Red flagโuse caution in the surf due to stronger currents and be mindful of marine life – keep an eye on the kiddos!
